F.O.F. (Friends of Finch) play primarily original music inspired by the likes of Phish, Jeff Beck and Miles Davis to name a few and while each band member possesses great individual skill and prowess, it is the unique ensemble sound, great chemistry and compelling compositions that set the group apart!  Featuring Tom Finch (Big Brother & the Holding Co.) on Guitar, Michael Bluestein (Foreigner) on Keys, Marc Carmi Smith (Jazz Iguanas) on Drums, Andius Jent on Bass, and Charles Moselle on Sax, Flutes, keys and Vocals stylings; F.O.F. draws on the bands collective experience on the road and in the studio to bring you their own brand of Jam-Rock-Fusion.  From funky and progressive to lush and lyrical and everything in-between; the group offers a wide range of dynamics and tonal colors to keep the listeners engaged and the many energetic grooves and rhythmic interludes offers danceability as well!  The group thoroughly enjoys playing together and the enthusiasm is contagious!

Tom Finch, a California native and multi-instrumentalist for over thirty years is Influenced by rock, funk, blues, and jazz styles and his playing and composing continue to grow with a creative and energetic force! A Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame inductee, Tom has toured throughout the U.S., Europe, Japan and Canada, and is featured on many albums with groups such as Big Brother & the Holding Co and Jazz Iguanas and Plethora. Tom has played with a variety of artists some of which include Joan Baez, Randy Vincent, Mel Graves, Steve Smith and Kai Eckhardt. Tom’s formal training includes seven plus years of study in music theory, composition, performance, and education at Sonoma State University, College of Marin, and Mills College and he has taught music privately as well as in school programs for more than 20 years.


Michael Bluestein presently plays keyboards and sings background vocals with the multi-platinum selling, legendary rock band Foreigner. Michael began piano studies at age 9. Growing up he was exposed to a wide range of artists including Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Boston, Mozart, The Who, and jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. This diverse palette of influences would serve as the foundation for his extreme musical versatility. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Michael made his way out to Los Angeles where he has played with Boz Scaggs, Stevie Nicks, Burt Bacharach, Enrique Iglesias, the Dancing With The Stars tour, Roger Hodgson of Supertramp, Anastacia, Shelby Lynne, and with the house band on Jimmy Kimmel Live


Marc Carmi Smith Drummer, ( has been anchored in the Bay Area music scene for 22 years (Tom Finch Group, The Jazz Iguanas, Pack of Wolves, Plethora, etc). Marc’s level of dedication to music and his instrument is evident from his playing. But his high level of attainment is not an accident — he has studied the drum set privately with some of the finest drummers on the planet; Jack DeJohnette, Trilok Gurtu, David Garibaldi, and Tony Williams. He has also studied at two of the best music schools in the US; North Texas State and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Marc possesses a restless desire to move forward, to improve his skills, to assimilate new music, and to push the limits of the music already in his repertoire.


Charles Moselle is a multi-instrumentalist (piano, saxophones, flutes, drums,) and composer, having scored numerous films, plays, and dance works.   He is also known for his unusual vocal stylings and bizarre theatrical characterizations (mongolian beatboxing, zombie operettas,etc.). He attended Lee Strasberg acting Institute and California Institiute of the Arts.  Over the years Charles’s career has taken a number of interesting turns; as a music therapist he has worked with schizophrenics, incarcerated youth, and war veterans. His songs are performed at many Unity and Science of Mind Churches. He is currently producing a Zombie Musical Comedy, “Love Me or Die”, and a performance art piece where he plays an electronic tap dance floor (triggering drum sounds), saxophone, and piano, at the same time.  He also continues on his lifelong quest for……………………. silence.   Charles has performed with Robin Williams, Stan Getz, Frank Sinatra Jr., Bobby McFerrin, Stanley Clarke, and Eddie Henderson, just to name a few.


Andius Jent Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, music has been part of Andius Jent’s life ever since he started playing classical piano at age seven. By age 15, he was proficient on acoustic bass and began performing with the school orchestra, getting his entrée into touring. He started playing rock and blues and then quickly transitioned to playing jazz, funk, and jazz fusion. In high school he started playing the guitar and studied jazz harmony, compositions, and concepts.  Andius achieved acclaim with his funk jazz fusion band “Soup,” which was voted best jazz band in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1991- 1993 and best band in Charlestown, South Carolina in 1992. Soup opened up for such artists as Dr. John, Warren Haynes, and Béla Fleck and the Flecktones. In 1996 Andius moved to Seattle, Washington, to attend the Cornish College of the Arts where he studied music performance and composition with Julian Priester, Jim Knapp, Ron Simon, and Dave Peck.  After graduating college with a B.A. in Music Performance, Andius toured throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and across the United States. In 2004 he released his first CD, ANDIUS to much acclaim. In 2005 Andius moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he enjoys playing in the Mill Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, jazz ensembles, contemporary jazz groups, and world music ensembles. Andius performs at music venues, corporate events, private parties, wineries, and restaurants. He also performs at music festivals such as Earthdance, Harmony Festival, and the Raw Spirit Festival. He released his solo bass CD, “Raptures of The Deep” in 2011.
